Finding Their Warrior Princess

In 2023, Irene and Paul first opened their hearts and home to Xena. From the moment she stepped over their threshold, she was home. They understood her completely, giving her the love, patience, and stability she deserved. Seeing Xena blossom in their care was everything we could have hoped for.

Double the Love

Then came 2024, and the arrival of Roxy into our rescue. As we considered potential homes for her, one family immediately sprang to mind. When Irene and Paul said yes to welcoming a second dog, we knew Roxy had won the lottery. Just like Xena before her, Roxy settled in beautifully, finding her own place in their warm, loving world. We truly couldn’t have wished for a better home for her, and seeing Xena and Roxy together is pure joy!

More Than Just Adopters

Irene and Paul’s generosity goes far beyond the two furry lives they saved. They continue to be incredible supporters of Dogs Angels Ireland, regularly donating to our appeals and stepping up whenever we need a helping hand. And for all of us working hard behind the scenes, a kind word can mean the world—Paul’s thoughtful messages of encouragement never fail to lift our spirits on a tough day.

We’re so lucky to keep in touch and get the most delightful updates. Their household is a lively, happy one, with Xena and Roxy ruling the roost. Well, almost. We hear that their very observant cat keeps a close eye on all the dogs’ comings and goings, making sure everything is in order!
