Adopt a Dog

Opening your home to a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do. At Dogs Angels Ireland, every dog we care for has their own unique story. Some have been abandoned, some simply need a second chance, but all of them are ready to give unconditional love to the right home.

Submit Adoption Form

Below, you’ll find photos and descriptions of the dogs currently available for adoption. Each profile includes their age, personality, and any special needs, so you can get a sense of whether they might be the perfect match for you.

If you see a dog you’d like to know more about, please complete our short enquiry form. This helps us get a general idea of who you are, where you live, and the kind of home you can provide. A member of our volunteer team will then be in touch to guide you through the next steps.

CLYDE 💙

Clyde is a big beautiful boy with a heart of gold 💛 but kennel life is starting to dim his sparkle.

At just a year old Clyde thrives on human companionship and the comforts of a home. If you are looking for a good boy ready to join your family then that could very well be Clyde.

He is house trained and not destructive in the home. Clyde is a great family pet who can live with children. He gets on with other dogs and can even live with cats.

Dakota🩷

This cutie pie girlie came to us from a pound, she’s about 1.5 years old cross breed, she’s about 28kg. Walks nice on lead, but strong at the beginning of the walk.
She’s got a good recall, is great in the car, lived with children previously and is great with our boy Brandon. She can sit a gives a paw and is very well mannered. She could live with a male dog pending meet & greet.

Otto 💙

Are you looking for a tall, handsome, and incredibly friendly companion? Meet Otto, a gorgeous Lurcher who is ready to find a home of his own.
Otto is approximately 2–3 years old. A very friendly boy who loves people. He gets on well with other dogs.
The Perfect Companion:
True to his breed, Otto is likely looking for a home where he can enjoy some nice walks followed by plenty of long naps. Otto is the perfect age to settle into a loving family environment.

Karen 🩷

Meet Karen
Karen is between  3 and 4 years old.
Karen spent a long time waiting in the pound, but now that she’s in rescue, we’ve had the joy of getting to know the real Karen — and she’s absolutely beautiful, inside and out.
In the house, she’s a dream. She’s calm, respectful, and gentle. No chewing, no destruction — just a lovely companion who’s happy to quietly share your space. She’s comfortable being left alone and doesn’t stress or make a fuss. Honestly, she’s a lot like having a Labrador around — affectionate, steady, and loyal.
Outside, Karen enjoys doing her own thing. She loves a good sniff and walks beautifully on the lead. While we haven’t fully tested her with other dogs yet, she passes them calmly and politely on walks.
Karen is a deeply loyal girl who’s ready to bond with someone special. She doesn’t ask for much — just a safe home and someone who’ll love her as much as she’ll love them.
Could that be you?
This is Karen on a day out from the kennels.

Ted 💙

Ted is around 1 year old, neutered and toilet trained. Ted is great in the house and loves a good walk. He walks very well on a Halti and when home, he turns into a total couch potato for an evening of cuddles.
He is dog friendly and would suit a home with a similar sized dog who enjoys a good play session.
As he can jump up when you come home, a home with older children would be best while he continues his training. He’s a very clever boy who is picking things up quickly with consistent training.

Zeus 💙

Zeus came to us last year having spent 3 years locked in a filthy shed.

He was locked away when he was only a pup so he was never shown any affection, any love or comfort or how to behave.

Because of the abuse and neglect he suffered, Zeus has now become one of the more difficult dogs to rehome.

So now Zeus will have to wait for that one in a million home. A home with an experienced owner, someone willing to take time to come and meet him, let him learn to trust, a home with a large secure garden where he can run and play and follow his owner around.

Zeus is an extremely loyal dog, smart, resilient and so grateful for the little things most dogs take for granted.

Tyson 💙

Tyson’s journey with us started when he was just a year old. His previous owner, who cherished him as a guard dog and loyal companion tragically passed away.

Now like many others Tyson faces challenges finding a home. Not every dog can be the park-friendly, cat-loving, universally social shepherd.

Tyson would thrive in a home with an experienced owner who will take the time to properly introduce him to new people. He would adore his new owner and be an incredibly loyal companion.

Ty 💙

Ty is a remarkable Malinois with an inspiring story.

Rescued in extremely poor condition, he has blossomed into a loyal, athletic and intelligent dog who craves love and attention.

Ty thrives in an active environment and enjoys outdoor adventures. He loves the company of other large dogs. His ideal home would be with an experienced, active owner in a rural setting where he would be introduced to new people slowly.

Ty has a favourite ball that he likes to carry around, even though it’s burst and not perfect he still loves it.

Lucas 💙

Lucas was found as a stray and brought to the pound in the most disgusting state, very underweight, his skin was in such a bad way with red raw patches all over his body. He had 2 filthy collars on his neck so tight and a heavy chain hanging from one.

Because of the abuse and neglect he suffered Lucas now finds it very hard to trust people. There are a few people he has learned to trust but this took time and experience.

Lucas will now be extremely difficult to rehome so while he waits for his miracle we have promised to look after him for as long as it takes.

Fawn 🩷

Fawn came to us when she was a year old after having trained with the PSNI. Now nearly 4 years later Fawn still hasn’t found a home of her own.

She would need a very experienced owner, with a deep understanding of dog behaviour to give her all the love and attention she needs.

While other pups were being socialised, learning to play, how to behave in a home, Fawn was learning to do a job.

As a result of this Fawn now needs a very specific home. We don’t know when we will find it but until we do we will make sure Fawn is happy & healthy and taken care of as best we can.
