Opening your home to a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do. At Dogs Angels Ireland, every dog we care for has their own unique story. Some have been abandoned, some simply need a second chance, but all of them are ready to give unconditional love to the right home.

Below, you’ll find photos and descriptions of the dogs currently available for adoption. Each profile includes their age, personality, and any special needs, so you can get a sense of whether they might be the perfect match for you.
If you see a dog you’d like to know more about, please complete our short enquiry form. This helps us get a general idea of who you are, where you live, and the kind of home you can provide. A member of our volunteer team will then be in touch to guide you through the next steps.

Zeus came to us last year having spent 3 years locked in a filthy shed.
He was locked away when he was only a pup so he was never shown any affection, any love or comfort or how to behave.
Because of the abuse and neglect he suffered, Zeus has now become one of the more difficult dogs to rehome.
So now Zeus will have to wait for that one in a million home. A home with an experienced owner, someone willing to take time to come and meet him, let him learn to trust, a home with a large secure garden where he can run and play and follow his owner around.
Zeus is an extremely loyal dog, smart, resilient and so grateful for the little things most dogs take for granted.

Tyson’s journey with us started when he was just a year old. His previous owner, who cherished him as a guard dog and loyal companion tragically passed away.
Now like many others Tyson faces challenges finding a home. Not every dog can be the park-friendly, cat-loving, universally social shepherd.
Tyson would thrive in a home with an experienced owner who will take the time to properly introduce him to new people. He would adore his new owner and be an incredibly loyal companion.

Ty is a remarkable Malinois with an inspiring story.
Rescued in extremely poor condition, he has blossomed into a loyal, athletic and intelligent dog who craves love and attention.
Ty thrives in an active environment and enjoys outdoor adventures. He loves the company of other large dogs. His ideal home would be with an experienced, active owner in a rural setting where he would be introduced to new people slowly.
Ty has a favourite ball that he likes to carry around, even though it’s burst and not perfect he still loves it.

Lucas was found as a stray and brought to the pound in the most disgusting state, very underweight, his skin was in such a bad way with red raw patches all over his body. He had 2 filthy collars on his neck so tight and a heavy chain hanging from one.
Because of the abuse and neglect he suffered Lucas now finds it very hard to trust people. There are a few people he has learned to trust but this took time and experience.
Lucas will now be extremely difficult to rehome so while he waits for his miracle we have promised to look after him for as long as it takes.

Fawn came to us when she was a year old after having trained with the PSNI. Now nearly 4 years later Fawn still hasn’t found a home of her own.
She would need a very experienced owner, with a deep understanding of dog behaviour to give her all the love and attention she needs.
While other pups were being socialised, learning to play, how to behave in a home, Fawn was learning to do a job.
As a result of this Fawn now needs a very specific home. We don’t know when we will find it but until we do we will make sure Fawn is happy & healthy and taken care of as best we can.

This amazingly beautiful girl is Bluebell 🩷 She is a young shepherd under 2 years old. Bluebell is a stunning, unusual blue & tan colour.
A great girl, all round fabulous dog. Bluebell gets on well with other dogs. She is a bouncy, energetic girl who loves to play.
Bluebell is a total heartbreaker 😍😍😍 She is the best girl who would love a home and family of her own where she can be given some time to settle in and show how amazing she really is.

🤩 Aozora and Bonnie 😍
What a fabulous pair of beauties and they are hoping to find a home together.
Aozora dreams of a home where she will be the only doggy or another big dog to play with ( Bonnie) as she is very playful and will be spoilt rotten. Bonnie is quite a large dog of around 55kg, so small children won’t be suited to her as she is very clumsy and she will require a medium amount of exercise everyday. Bonnie is very good in the house and is toilet trained too. Bonnie loves people and absolutely loves giving everyone big hugs 🥰
She loves treats, bones, toys and sometimes balls.
Bonnie also loves her walks, essentially if it involves dipping her feet into the water. Bonnie doesn’t like small or medium sized dogs so needs to be muzzled walking but is muzzle trained and doesn’t mind it. She walks good on the lead.
She needs an enclosed garden.
Bonnie isn’t cat friendly.

🐾 Meet Andrex – The Goodest Boy Waiting for His Forever Home 🐾
Andrex didn’t have the easiest start. He was adopted as a tiny, fluffy pup and then returned once he grew up. But despite it all, he’s proven himself to be an exceptionally good boy who deserves the world.
✨ What makes Andrex special?
• 100% house trained – no accidents indoors
• Doesn’t chew or cause mischief in the house
• Walks well on the lead (just a little strong at times)
• Gets along with female dogs his own size
• Full of love, loyalty, and gentleness
We can’t understand why Andrex hasn’t been chosen yet. He’s ready to be someone’s best friend, cuddle buddy, and adventure partner. 💛
Andrex is approaching his second birthday, and we don’t want him to spend it waiting in a kennel. He deserves a family who will love him forever.
